In celebration of the richness of autumn, Banana Republic highlights the simple pleasures of the fall season with a crisp white shirt, warm camel hues, classic tartan prints and polished, cozy tweeds as the brand unveils their 2011 Fall Campaign, “The Good Life,” shot by world-renown photographer, Peter Lindbergh.
According to Banana Republic, the following are key items this fall.
Once again, HP has captured my full attention when I saw the photo attachments on the email. They’ve managed to surpass the wow factor of one of their older projects which also was aimed at the fusion of fashion and technology — the HP Vivienne Tam Digital Clutch something that I had stumbled upon earlier that year prior attending that event.
This time, HP celebrated the Marchesa Spring 2012 Collection at the Dream Hotel last 13th of September, 2011 in New York City — during this year’s New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Wait till you see how this particular gadget looks rendered in “tech art” luxury. I almost fell off my chair when I saw it.

HP celebrated the fusion of fashion and technology with Marchesa during NYFW. At Marchesa’s Plaza Hotel show, HP captured the fashion house’s 2012 Spring collection with HP Live 3-D. The 3-D images were presented later that evening to special industry guests, including Emma Roberts, Camilla Belle and Rachel Zoe, at the Dream Downtown.

Just a quick note to say: while I was keen on keeping this bit of space updated, I’ve simply been much too busy with a lot of things in the past but I’m here now with a firmer resolve (sort of) to really be around more. I know, I know. I keep saying that but I keep ending up disappearing but I’d like to give it a try again since I do have a bit of access to a considerable amount of information that I can’t really bring myself to share over at my local fashion blog, Style Manila.
I don’t intend to turn this into a PR repository rather, I’d like to think it’ll be my space to highlight industry news (outside Manila, Philippines) that I find interesting. I hope you’d stick around to see what I’ve got planned for the next few weeks.
I look at her and cry. She’s sooo pretty! I wonder if I’d ever look half as good as her dressed, styled and posed like that. I wish. Fergie is Fergie. Heh. I’ve always thought that she’s gorgeous (downright sexy to boot!) ever since I first saw a video of her and the rest of Black Eyed Peas. And yes, Fergie is on the cover of Glamour’s December issue, their 20th Anniversary Special Issue.
The Grammys. The fragrance. The new album. Black Eyed Peas front woman Stacy Ann Ferguson is having the year of her life. Fergie’s soaring vocals and dare–you–to–look–away sex appeal have made her an unstoppable musical force, both as a solo artist and with the Peas. She’s shown a real social conscience, working for causes from AIDS to cancer, and Glamour is proud to honor her as a 2010 Woman of the Year. Photographed in Los Angeles, Fergie poses on the cover in a Dsquared2 blazer and inside the issue in a Sonia Rykiel dress, Neil Lane jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Sharing a bit from what Fergie said on the topic of self-esteem: “[If] you start making the right choices for yourself, all of a sudden you start feeling better and better. You’d be surprised how addicting high self-esteem is.” and I couldn’t agree with her more.
Other women who join Fergie on the Glamour’s honour roster for 2010 Women of the Year are: Julia Roberts, Michelle Obama, Katie Spotz, Constance McMillen, Donatella Versace, Dr. Hawa Abdi & Her Daughters, Queen Rania, Cher, Lindsey Vonn, Mia Hamm & Lisa Leslie and the Female Heads of State. Individual articles can be perused on www.GLAMOUR.com.
Issue will be available digitally and on newsstands nationwide (US) on 09 November.

The cover article states, “Looking like a cross between Caron and Audrey Hepburn, Hathaway has spent the past two days gamely flitting about Paris wearing a series of dazzling creations and a staggering amount of diamonds.”
Yes, we find the lovely star of Princess Diaries, Bride Wars, Rachel Getting Married among others, Anne Hathaway, on the cover of the November issue of VOGUE. Poised between girldom and full-fledged womanhood, the actress talks to Contributing Editor Adam Green about growing up, learning to trust, and taking on her most challenging role yet. You can read the full article here: Happily Ever After: Anne Hathaway.
I’ve managed to accumulate a great number of pairs over the years and I plan to add more. This is one piece of clothing that will never go out of fashion for me. I’m constantly working on looks with jeans playing an important part. I love how I can pull off outfits that still can be called fashionable without it ending up looking too calculated.
What sort of cut is your favourite? Any brand in particular that you favour over the rest?
I know it’s been quite some time since you folks heard from me (close to a year, actually). But let me take this time to make up for lost time and share with you a couple of photos that simply took my breath away. There’s one thing that a photographer captures a model in a fabulous outfit and gorgeous setting but to create this wonderfully styled photographs — simply amazing.
Now, if my legs will turn out looking like this then I’ll certainly be off to Bloomingdales in an instant. If I live near one, that is.
Legs that go on forever. I think I’ve successfully made my point, image size plus placement and all. (Funny memory of an opening gambit recently used on me by some guy — a comment on my legs. Quick answer: I don’t think so, buddy. Heh. Pick-up fail.)
Anyway, Recession Denim launched its premier collection in the US in April 2009.
The collection features well-made, classic jean silhouettes that will never go out of style. The entire collection ranges in price from $85-$120, which is well below the current price for high-fashion denim.
Now available at over 50 top boutiques in the US and internationally, Recession Denim will be launching its fashion-forward second collection this Fall. Taking cues from Fall 2009 runway trends, the new collection features Motorcycle jeans, denim leggings, and the Gypsy line, which includes denim dresses and skirts.
Recession Denim will be hitting the floors of Bloomingdales next week and over 60 stores across the US.
Oddly enough, it’s been reported that Recession Denim is a denim company that seems to be doing extremely well in the present state of the economy. What irony.
