The Working Woman’s Confidence
Who says that Working Women can’t be fashionable? Trash that notion.
I know most women may think that office clothes can’t be stylish enough to be called attention on. Some or most are rooted to the conventional and conservative, oftentimes, refusing to dabble on a more hipper apparel. The mind is somehow stuck on the idea that an outfit should be boringly stiff.
To help stretch the imagination and exercise our creative side, I found few pieces that are taken out of the conventional designs but are still considered to be stylishly chic. This way we are able to be faithful to what most are used to without pushing it.
First up is the Rebecca + Drew Ruffled Tuxedo Shirt. This piece is best in classic white. It’s ruffled detail creates a certain character about the top, which then is reflected on the person wearing it. It can be used with skirts, pants, and even jeans during casual working days.
Next is the Burberry Novacheck-Trim Blouse and Skirt combination. Of course, you don’t have to wear them together all the time. You can mix and match it with other pieces that you have in your wardrobe. However, with this combination, it gives us a look of serenity and peace. It’s very crisp and formal, perfect for business meetings inside or outside the office.
All three pieces use the classic designs, which are normally what most women think an office attire should look like yet still create fashion statements. Women, if better informed, can be confident enough to carry off being stylish without being overly dramatic about styles and colors, even accessories. You really don’t have to dress up as if you’re going to a fashion show or a club when you go to work. That’s fashion overkill. Hahaha.
Also, learn to wear simple daytime make-up and always keep your hair in place. The key to this is to remember that these two tips are to help highlight your face and not cover it.
One piece of fashion advise that I have found useful throughout the years is: “Just keep everything simple.” You can never go wrong with that. No, really.
