Kyoko Higa: An Independent Spirit

by Sasha Manuel on February 2nd, 2006

kyoko higaKyoko Higa is indeed a rose. Her first label, A Rose is a Rose, started way back 1990 and it still grows strong today. She designs for the individual that reflects her independent spirit so it’s actually safe to say that these are type of clothes she would wear, only she chooses to share it to the rest of the world. Aren’t we lucky she did that?

Just take a look at the clothes! You can also check the entire Kyoko Higa 2006 Spring/Summer Collection.

I loved the fitted jacket in the photo I saw at an eZine, Japanese Streets. It was the reason why I decided to google her. Of course, I focused mainly on looking at her designs. Teehee. I’ll be featuring some Japanese Fashion soon. I love their street style.

Thanks to Japanese Streets.

After hearing/seeing Kyoko Higa on ANTM, I wanted to see more. The fashions from Japan move with the pulse of the world. I’m impressed and inspired. I love eclectic yet contemporary style. These are garments I would wear without hesitation.
