Caslon Tonal Stretch Twill Jacket

by Sasha Manuel on March 9th, 2006

twill
I’ve been seeing a lot of Jackets floating around sporting this design. I reckon it’s the buttons down the front. It’s like the jackets that the military wore during the period of Civil War, don’t you think? Well, I’m poor at American History, much less be certain of what the uniforms look like so please don’t quote me on that. I only have Hollywood to thank for history lessons. So, I’m not sure if it’s a really credible source, if you know what I mean.

It’s a great option for all working women. Instead of the usual blazer with lapels and collars, you can wear this piece and know that you’re hip. I do believe it’s gonna be big. It works well with both skirts and pants, an alternative to the usual look for power suits.

I do wonder why it’s so expensive, though. I saw something like it yesterday at Ingle Farm and it costs more than a pair of jeans! I assumed that it’s because of the buttons. Hahaha.

This jacket is available at Nordstrom.
