Knee Shorts Outbreak

When I got back to Manila and had the opportunity to go on a trip with a few people, my fashion radar was on alert. Teehee. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not out to make snarky comments. I just like checking out how fashionable people are and noting fashion items. So, I noticed that a lot of the women in the group was sporting the Knee Shorts.

At first, I thought that they simply bought the same item for the occasion since most of them are friends or around each other most of the time so they have similar tastes when it came to fashion. But my views changed when I had the chance to go window shopping at a local flea market. Ack. Knee shorts everywhere! Some in denim, some in corduroy, and a few in linen. Sheesh. Talk about major fad! Hahaha.

What are Knee shorts you ask? Well, they sorta look like the one the image. But okay, they’re similar to Bermuda shorts. To make it a whole lot simpler, they’re just shorts that reaches the knees, as the name suggests. ;)

Anyway, it’s sort of frustrating in a way because these people found a good item but failed to explore the styling possibilities. They’re seemingly trapped in the conventional. Sigh. Anyway, they’re mostly available in pastels, which I really can’t seem to find myself warming to, but I did find a few fabulous striped cords and cuts, which are not the ones that are popular, sadly.

I guess I can feature more items under this category to educate. ;)
