Naming Her Vera
I went out for lunch with Mel, my bestfriend since highschool, and the rest of our friends, last Sunday. We had a fabulous time catching up on what’s new with each other. And one of the big news was Mel’s pregnancy.
Over coffee, she decided to let us guess on what name they’ve decided for their baby girl. After several tries, the group finally were able to guess it right, it was going to be Veronica. She then moved on to make us guess what Veronica’s nickname is going to be.
She clued us in that it’s a great play of words when put together with their last name, which happened to be Yang — yea, Chinese. She hinted that it should be easy for me to guess since I have this blog, Tops 2 Bottoms. I say, whaa–? Hmmm. Now, that got me curious.
I was queueing up to get my latte when it hit me — Vera Yang! And, of course, I was right. Hehehe. Yea, inspired by a well known designer, Vera Wang.
Oh, you’re funny, Mel. Heh. ;)

This reminds me of a swimmer I heard about in college: Edgar Allan PE!
But at least Vera Yang sounds more similar than that.
