The Skinny Jean Confidence
I recently watched the HBO hit series, Sex and the City, on DVD. One of the episodes had Miranda [Cynthia Nixon] wear her old pair of skinny jeans. A significant thing that should be noted about the whole situation was the fact that she just had a baby, so, the idea of fitting back into the pair, which she last worn in the 80s, was close to impossible.
Carrie [Sarah Jessica Parker] just got dumped by a post it and the girls were out partying to cheer her up. Miranda wasn’t feeling hot about going out since she feels so like a mom and thinks she wasn’t sexy enough to do the whole single-but-fabulous scene again. That is, till she spots the old pair.
Picture the scene when she walked toward the girls with renewed confidence and sensuality, which affects how men reacted to this re-born sexy-mommy-Miranda as the episode progresses, i.e. she gets invited to ‘get into bed’ [pun intended. watch the episode.] by a guy and had three guys fight over the chance to buy her a drink.
Definitely, Miranda was at her ‘hottest’ self that night. Heehee.
What is it exactly about this piece of garment that spells out sexiness? I know it’s not rocket science but still — it seems like there’s a bit of magic involved. Hahaha.
I reckon this is the sexiest of the jeans lot, don’t you agree?

Amazing what suspension of disbelief can help you achieve! :D
I like the series and all, but I’ve always wondered why Miranda gets the geeks.

C’mon! I mean Miranda’s friends get the “hawt” guys. Does she get the geeks because she’s the plainest-looking of ‘em all? What does that say about plainness? What does that say about what girls geeks can get? :)

I think you should watch all 7 seasons. She did get the attention of what society can classify as “hot guy” even when she’s all sweaty and “plain”-looking. What can you say about that? Tssch.
BTW, it depends if the girl-geek’s hot, too. Know what I mean? ;)

I guess, you should stop stereotyping Miranda. Better yet — stop stereotyping, full stop. Hahaha. It really will depend on the chemistry me thinks and not the “look”. Besides, you’re a guy — YOU should know! Pffft.
