Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Stuart Weitzman’s Bid for a Cure
It’s October. Before you go thinking of all shindigs you’ll be dressing up for on Halloween [Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls just came to mind. Heehee], take a moment and remember that this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Make an appointment with your doctor for a check up. It’s important to know that you’re keeping yourself healthy. We can’t have fun, shopping, all the time, you know.
I like what CJ said over at eBeautyDaily, “There is an unmistakable natural beauty in a person who is healthy, a radiance that cannot be purchased. Don’t you want to be a natural beauty? I know I do.”
In line with that, Stuart Weitzman is auctioning off stilletos to raise some money for the cause. What’s so special about these shoes, you ask? Well, he let a bunch of supermodels, i.e. Niki Taylor, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, design over his classic white “fever” stiletto.
Imagine that.
Some are, uh, interesting but others turned out quite good but only one stood out for me.
Of all the shoes you can bid on, I particularly like this one by Bar Rafaeli. It’s described, “This beautifully simple pink shoe, topped off by a pink ribbon meant to symbolize breast cancer awareness (and adorned with Swarovski crystals), is a reflection of this model’s minimalist (but gorgeous) taste.”
Gorgeous.

Those pink shoes are drop dead gorgeous. And it is one color that isn’t in my collection right now!

Wow, while the pointiness would kill my toes…that is still a gorgeous shoe. So feminine.

LOL. I know what you mean but I reckon you get used to it after a while. Yes, it certainly looks feminine, eh? Perhaps it’s cuz it’s a stilleto and point-y and — pink. Teehee. :)

[…] Then an idea came to me that I should buy a top or two this month and wear it just to show my support for Breast Cancer Awareness since October is the month we celebrate it. I thought I’d share this to you guys, too. Perhaps, you’d like to join me. […]
