The Fashionista is a Godmother!

So, yea, I just came home from a christening, uh, service (?) at Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati City. It’s a pretty cool thing for me, you see. It’s my very first time to be asked to be one, a godmother, I mean. Heehee.

It’s to the daughter of my bestfriend from highschool, Mel. Her name’s Veronica Mei G. Yang, but we’ll be calling her, Vera.

I consider it an honour to be a godmother. I believe that it’s not just a label you put on somebody so your child get to receive a lot of gifts on birthdays, christmases or whatever event that merits a gift. It’s actually a big responsibility. For me, it signifies that the parents trust me enough that I will be there for their child, too.

Way cool.

Uh, what were they thinking? Gah. Me? Be responsible for a child? Yikes. My mom thinks it unfortunate for the kid to have me as a godparent. Hmpft. I’m not all that bad… aren’t I? Am I? Mel?
