A bit of Christmas shopping
Earlier today, I set out to buy my mum a gift. It’s her birthday today. A trip to Marks & Spencer help tick that off on my shopping list and I bought a few more items in that shop for my friends and another birthday present for my dear friend, Raissa, who’s also celebrating it today.
Other things on my list is to buy a dress for a wedding I have to go to this coming Friday that’ll be hosting part of the program during the reception. Gah. Yes. This fashionista will turn into a public hostess for a night. Ack. For some reason, that doesn’t sound right. LOL.
It’s actually quite funny how I found the dress. I just saw a mannequin in a boutique that was showcasing a cocktail dress so I immediately thought I might find something there then — BAMM! — there it was hanging on the rack. A moss (?) green tube dress with a tiered sheer overlay from the hip to just a few inches below the hem. I liked it in an instant.
Of course, my happiness of finding a dress I like turned into despair when it dawned on me that I have to find a pair of shoes that will match it. It’s green, you see. I really don’t like the idea that I’d wear black footwear. It’ll make the entire outfit, sombre looking. If you know what I mean.
Oh, dear. It means I need to spend MORE money.
Shoes! Shoes! Shoes!
I ended up buying a pair that costed 100% more than my dress. Can you believe it? That’s how much I am particular about shoes. LOL. It’s a combination of black satin and green snake skin stilleto pumps. Sooo purrtteyy! Heehee. I got them from my favourite shoe store, Janilyn. Shweet!
I’ll post a photo of the pair when I get the chance!
On the photo: That’s me playing around with the frills. I just stepped out of the dressing room. Heehee. I’ll try to take a more decent photo of the dress on the day of the wedding. Credit: Sweetie!

[…] As for me, I just played with firecrackers and, basically, spent a quiet New Year’s eve with my family and extended families. Heehee. The last couple of days have been, er, work-filled — unfortunately — but I’d like to think I’m still fashionably beautiful. I loved my holiday shopping experiences. LOL. […]
