Outfit of the Week: Dolce & Gabbana Striped Lurex Knit and Chain Shorts

I love the idea of going retro-casual. The look reminds me of 70s glam, the fashion era wherein women oozed with sex appeal. Hehe. ;)
I love Dolce’s Striped Lurex Knit. Do you see the way it was loose along the shoulder and upper arm then it became tapered as it reached the wrist area? Brilliant! I like the somewhat low v-neckline and that it’s tapered on the waist area, too.
Worn with the chain shorts and platform wedged sandals, the entire look was casual and chic. Love it. It’s perfect for some chilly afternoon for all ya folks still in spring. But for us living in the tropics, experiencing 43 degrees Celsius at that, the top might just be sheer torture. Gawd. Summer has never been this hot and humid!

I was a teen during the seventies. That attire was what we called “Hot Pants”. I loved wearing them. Too bad I am too old to wear such a thing. I’ll wear the top though. hehe

Noemi: Lucky you! Must’ve been a fashionista’s dream to be in an era of original glam! Oh, I reckon I heard that term “hot pants” used on shorts before and I thought it wasn’t the norm but you proved it otherwise! Cool! Thanks for sharing!
