Summer Top Tip: Edith Blouson Top by Diane von Furstenberg

by Sasha Manuel on June 7th, 2007

Diane von Furstenberg Edith Blouson TopOne of my frustrations now is shopping for a great top for this season. If you only know how I often find myself stopping dead on my tracks whenever I encounter fashion pieces that I would luurrvve to own! LOL. To my disappointment, most of them aren’t available here in my country. One can only dream now. What utter sadness. Sigh.

I simply loved the print. Believe me, I’m not the print sort but I am trying to venture into that world. It’s dynamic, IMHO. I like how it creates a different dimension to your look. It adds a dash of personality on an otherwise simple top. Can you imagine this top in plain, solid colour? It wouldn’t have the same impact on you, am I correct? Well, I’m just trying to paint a picture. Hehe.

It’ll look great with any type of bottom. From flared bleached denims to pleated linen skirts. Of course, we all have to be careful with matching it with print, too. The top is simple enough to fit in this season of casual looks.

What do you think?

I kinda like it. I think your right, it would go great with any denim and would be a nicer casual outfit. What kind of stores have you been shopping at that you’re having troubles finding tops? I’ve loved some of the stuff I’ve seen this summer. I know Lord and Taylor has a great line this year of tops and tunics. Good Luck!

Unfortunately, BeachBum, I don’t live in the US. My country is a “mall” country (I reckon we have the 3rd largest in world) but the thing about malls is that they offer the same thing over and over and you really have to scour each to try and find a shop that sells great finds. Or resort to the various flea markets (that sell brand new clothes at a cheap price) that are scattered around the metro and hope you’d get lucky. And online shopping is so cumbersome for us cuz of a lack of an effective payment system.

I’m not saying there aren’t any good ones out there — I’m just having a hard time find them, is all. :)
