Glittery rhinestone belt accents an inset waist, vertically seamed for a slimming effect above a full skirt. Wing collar tops a gathered, V-neck bodice.

Believe it or not, I did find this outfit on Nordstrom’s catalog. And, yes, it’s on sale — their Anniversary Sale. I love its classic lines and, of course, the femininity of the full skirt. It puts emphasis on the narrowness of the waist, esp with the belted look and all. With that, it helps tone down the hip area (if you happen to have too much of it) or perhaps it’ll help maximise the hip size and create a well-formed over-all shape. Putting the right curves in the right place, so to speak. But if you’re the type who needs a boost in that area (like I do, hehe), you’ll still benefit from this since the full skirt will create the curve that you need.

I also like the 3/4 sleeves. The outfit can be used for office wear, speaking engagements, out-of-office meetings, PR events and the like. It’s sophisticated and elegant esp since in black. It’s easy to accessorise. You can wear it with stilettos or flats. It all depends on how formal or casual a look you want to go for.

This is certainly one outfit I’d recommend that my dear friend Aileen should try. Wonder if she’d give it a go. Hmmm.
