High & Pink, Trend & Cause

Paul Costelloe, London Fashion Week SS 2008
This pink number by Paul Costelloe, seen during the recent London Fashion Week, is a great indicator of what’s to come. It inspired this post, actually. Served as a glue for all strands of fashionable (and noble?) thought coursing through my brain. Heh.
High, The Trend
I’ve been seeing a lot of the high-waisted look on outfits, which probably originated from the belted look and only progressed to actual clothing item to adapt it. I briefly wrote my thoughts on the trend over at Style Manila:
As how the skinny had slowly and reluctantly been welcomed, the high-waisted bottoms may suffer the same fate. However, like the former, I’m sure it will find its place in our wardrobes soon. Like I already said, it will be difficult but with the right amount of style influence and skill, the right fashionista will discover a comfortable and stylish way of working this look in. (Skinny and a Tummy Tuck, Style Manila)
Pink, The Cause
It’s October. It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I’ll be trying my best to contribute in raising the awareness on the matter. With every T2B Pink post, I wish to reach out to readers, not just to inform, encourage and remind everyone but also to remember in itself and understand the cause. Show a sign of support by leaving a comment on each.
