T2B Shopping: A Scarf that came with a Top
Believe me, that day was not one of the best days of my life (the night was a different story though). Long story short, I actually uttered — “all the fashion gods must be conspiring against me!” Oh, yes. I was extremely frustrated. It was like a manic-shopper experiencing a dry-spell. Gah. I just couldn’t find anything that inspired the fashionista-slash-stylist in me. Well, not until I chanced upon a scarf in Esprit. Yes. A scarf!
Talk about style inspiration.
I’ve always loved urban fashion. This is the kind of look that I only see worn by city dwellers in the US. It’s so carefree and bohemian in a way. Like wearing something utterly shabby but so chic. It’s like a kind of style that can be described as understated and, IMHO, very chic.
Anyway.
The scarf came with a top. Or was it a top that came with a scarf? Heh. Well, I zoned in on the scarf but I couldn’t buy it separately so I had to buy the “set”. Pffft. Not that the top was not great looking. It’s your typical sleeveless top. It’s the scarf that made it special. Oh, I’ve always wanted to own and wear a scarf. Not that I haven’t owned or worn one cuz I have (don’t let my ramblings confuse you).
Styling an outfit with a scarf is quite a normal thing for the rest of you people, yeah? As for me who happens to live in a tropical country, it’s a rarity. But since the one I was wearing is thin and lightweight, it wasn’t much of a nuisance. The weather can get a bit cooler on some nights so wearing one can be justified. I admit that you’ll get a few stares, though.
