Fringes, Dyes and Psychedelic Style

I’m looking to finding more style inspirations when it comes to adding a bit of colour in my wardrobe. I’ve been experimenting on prints, bold or otherwise, but I still find it awkward to wear them at times. But realising just how I’ve managed to collect a lot of dark colours and not enough bright ones which are fitting for summer, I’m thinking I should compromise a bit.
Looking at the kaleidoscope of colours and styles for Spring, gives me an idea which can be the compromise. I like the colours that are a bit subdued and not of the pastel kind (if you know what I mean). I’m more inclined to try my hand in putting together outfits inspired by vintage looks popularized during the 60s and 70s.
Samples were showcased in the last S/S fashion week by various designers as featured in the photos above. These are my favourites. I also loved how Nina Ricci combined hippie and rock, a bit flamboyant but fab still. I’m getting a bit excited on how I’d actually come up with an outfit inspired by these looks. I better get to work in pooling the details together then. Hehe.
