Tops 2 Bottoms

Inspired by Sheer Fabrics and Minimalist Looks

Style Inspiration - Bare, Nude, Sheer | Tops 2 Bottoms, Street Fashion

Living in a warm country has its advantages and disadvantages. We can pretty much wear anything and everything save for the fabulous winter fashions. However, this country has been groomed to be more casual, laid-back and somewhat conservative in terms of styling experimentations. It’s quite sad actually that instead of celebrating the another’s individuality, some resort to catty remarks and mask it as intelligent fashion critique-ing. Heh.

I digress.

Point is wearing sheer fabrics is often associated with formal wear or, worse, considered indecent. Ah, well. We all know it’ll highly depend on how it’s made and worn, right? Seeing the creations of these fashion designers, I’m hoping to explore this inspiration. I love how colours and fabrics mesh together that somehow the entire look is seamless. A flirt-y showing of skin through sheer fabrics can be an added attraction, livening things up a bit. No prints, no loud colours. Just flimsy, soft, romantic, fluid hemlines. Details that are so minimal that it simply becomes one with the whole look.

I actually bought a Zara dress recently. It’s in white sheer and black lace. Very romantic. I still need to buy something to wear underneath so I can take it out. I’ll definitely post a photo once I do.
