Milan Fall 2008 RTW: Gianfranco Ferré
I’m not done yet. I’m still gobbling up all the Italian fashion that’s showcased in the Milan Fashion Week. Today, it’s the Fall 2008 Ready-to-Wear collection of Gianfranco Ferré.
Clean, soft and ultra chic. I love the fluid lines of the designs (kudos to the team behind the Gianfranco Ferré brand). I’m finding that I’m leaning towards cuts that to some would seem outrageous. I love the extra ruffle, intricate embellishments, unnatural cuts for collars and sleeves, and the fabrics which makes the garment interesting and unique.
In terms of styling, the white hosiery is a bit of a stretch and the choice for footwear is quite a sore. I reckon the latter will take some time to get used to but the former, er, never?

The hat is so pimp-esque but I reckon twas to add character to the signature style — like the used of the white hosiery and shoes — for the show? A bit tacky but yea, I guess it’s alright.
