I actually bought this a while back, probably a week or two ago. Irene’s Closet is planning to move to a new location (old location was Archeology Wing, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City), hence, the announcement of a clearance sale. Yes! A SALE! Yay! I’ve been keeping an eye on Irene’s creations for quite sometime now. I’ve been meaning to drop by the store but never got around to doing it. I hardly go to Makati anymore, if and when I do, I often head to Greenbelt and that’s it. Gah.

But, let’s talk about the dress more, shall we?

Emily Ruf Dress by Irene’s Closet

This is one of the dresses I’ve managed to buy all because of my wanting a dress lately. Among the selection, this is the only one that I liked that was available. It sucks when there’s lag in terms of communicating via electronic channels, sometimes, that’s the reason why you can’t negotiate and close a sale effectively. Sigh.

I love the details of the dress. The prints on the fabric (if you look at it closely) is cool, fun, and eclectic. I love the tiered ruffles and the crossed straps. It’s in pink and purple — colours I don’t normally wear!

It’s summer and I always like experimenting during this time of the year. From prints to colours. I guess all the sun, in all its brightness, inspires me to be bolder. I can’t wait to try it out!
