Philippine Fashion Week 2008 | Get a Glimpse of the New Decade of Philippine Fashion

For the rest of the world, Philippine fashion has remained in the backseat of other major fashion territories which influences and sometimes dictates what’s in style, with only a handful of fortunate names in the local design industry to make it to the big leagues, aka finding their creations (and names) acknowledged internationally.
I reckon, what comes with every year added to the existence of Philippine Fashion Week are opportunities to improve on show quality, to step up their game, and to pool in more brilliant, creative minds into the fold in order to stretch, reach and break. There’s no set rules for fashion, anyway. They all simply have to find the pulse and use it wisely.
Enough on the ramblings of a sleep-deprived blogger. On with what’s hot. Heh.
It took me a bit of a long time to finish uploading the photos (from the opening ceremony) AND posting them but they’re now finally up and viewable at Style Manila. YES! Photos!
Philippine Fashion Week 2008, Glimpses
I’ll be showing you guys what my favourites were (and then some). Stay tuned for that one.
Go have a look and get a taste of our local fashion. If you could tell me your initial impressions on what you saw, I’d really appreciate it. I’m dying to know what you guys think. Think fashion critic. Hehe.
Happy viewing!
