Cardis for Fall

Posted by: Sasha Manuel In: Fashion| Shopping

There’s something peaceful about outfits + cardis. They appear casual but maintain a quiet elegance. I like the idea of wearing cardis. Streets out west will be littered with stylish folks in cardis come Fall.

Here are a few of my favourites seen at Ralph Lauren.

Open-Front Luxe Knit Jacket, Black Label

Wool-Cashmere Cable Coat, Blue Label

Leather-Patch Wool Cardigan, Blue Label

Style 101

I have to add that though I opt for more somber hues in clothes during Fall season, this doesn’t mean I lack in inspiration. I actually like the idea that it reflects the weather and how dark solid colours make a good canvas to showcase tiny details that make up a particular look. Take this for example:

I’ve been attached to gold jewellery and accessories for a while now and the idea of re-introducing silver back into my style repertoire is something to look forward to. Silver looks cold but in contrast to grey and black hues, it comes off as chic and elegant. I can only wish that the weather here will come to a point wherein it can accommodate me wearing a gorgeous cardi.

How about you folks? What will keep you warm and toasty this Fall?

I can’t carry that off! I’m petite so I look smaller :( Any tips on the right cardis for petites?

I’d recommend the cropped and ribbed ones (ones that reaches the waistline) — something like this, this, this or this. Or if you’d like to try something a little loose, you may want to stick with the ones that grazes just above the hip area — something like this or this and this. Hope that helps! :)
