Are we looking at the future of reality TV? Can you picture this — “Japan’s Next Top Robot Model” and Miim can host the show since she just may be what most robot model wannabes aspire themselves to be. Ouch. A brain cell just got fried.

Yes, folks. Not more than a week ago, the fashion world was a buzz when a Japanese fashion designer, Yumi Katsura, had an HRP-4 humanoid bot called Miim, model a wedding dress at her fashion show showcasing her 2009 Yumi Katsura Paris Grand Collection in Osaka, Japan.

The 5′2″ robot model developed by Kazuhito Yokoi is certainly intimidating towering supermodels all over. Working with “it” can mean less divas, drug-problems and arrogance. Maybe? Then again, what can we really expect from a robot? Will it be able to sashay down the catwalk and make men drool? I think, cold experience. It may prove to be hard to connect with a lifeless, er, entity.

Also, reception can always vary. I’ve given my two cents and now it’s your turn. Discuss.
