Fall Accessories: Camel, Sand and Tan

Things are looking up in the accessory department — bags, in particular. Word has it that anything that’s close to the camel, sand, tan shade is the IT thing for them arm candies. Best if the material is leather, which only gets better with wear. Yes, in this case, older is definitely more appealing — properly aged, of course. Hehe.

To give you folks an idea, here are two gorgeous pieces that I wouldn’t mind owning:

Be&D Hobo Bag, Fall Accessories 2009 | Tops II Bottoms - Fashion, Shopping, Street Style
Be&D Woodstock Hobo in Rush Sand, $995 – beandd.com

I have this weakness for bags that can carry everything, save your kitchen. I like the Be&D hobo bag’s simplicity and that dash of roughness with its hardware detail. It certainly qualifies as a whenever-wherever bag (that’s me saying you can use it on any occasion, albeit be it formal, and be lugged around anywhere. Very pratical, stylishly practical.

Apiece Apart Envelope Clutch, Fall Accessories 2009 | Tops II Bottoms - Fashion, Shopping, Street Style
Apiece Apart Envelope Leather Clutch, $520 – mickmargo.com

Another LOVE — clutches. I’m still waiting on fate to lead me to the perfect envelope clutch. But for now, I’m resigned to simply drooling over what-ifs and extravagant wishes. One takes on the form of this clutch from Apiece Apart. My heart beats once more.

What can I say? My preferences are — more often than not — at extremes. I adore big bags and small bags just the same. I find that opting to go “in-between” sizes can be a bit awkward and, thus, would often limit my choices between a clutch (or a small shoulder bag) to a tote or anything that’s big enough (like a messenger bag) to carry just about anything I would wish to bring with me. Heh.

Anyway, you folks out West will surely enjoy this colour trend in Fall accessories, just take note of the palette. It’s not just yellow or brown or orange, it’s a delicious mix of all three or probably a combination of any two of the colours. Know what I mean? Don’t forget to have fun as you experiment!

P.S. I hope you’re not thinking of mixing up paint/acryllics/etc. Bad idea. Don’t ruin your bag. Please. I kid.
