In celebration of the richness of autumn, Banana Republic highlights the simple pleasures of the fall season with a crisp white shirt, warm camel hues, classic tartan prints and polished, cozy tweeds as the brand unveils their 2011 Fall Campaign, “The Good Life,” shot by world-renown photographer, Peter Lindbergh.

According to Banana Republic, the following are key items this fall.

Utilitarian Classics. It’s all about utilising utilitarian classics that are both easy to wear and to build upon. (I believe it’s always a good thing to have such pieces available in our wardrobe.)

The Perfect White Shirt
A new white shirt is the reset button for your wardrobe. It’s the most essential of the essentials and few things look better right out of the package. This Fall, as always, Banana Republic offers a range of white shirts to choose from. We love the crisp white shirt with ruffle embellishments for her and our soft washed textured white shirt for him.

Camel
Chunky camel sweaters and iconic camel peacoat coat for the gents. Our aline camel button down wool flannel skirt and camel cowlneck sweater for the ladies. Camel is everywhere! True to our Banana Republic heritage and what is all over the runways, it’s the easiest Fall trend to incorporate into every wardrobe.

Plaid
The pattern that the Scottish call tartan and Americans call plaid has become the most classic item to incorporate into your menswear look. Whether it’s a touch of plaid with a tie or making a bigger statement with a shirt, it’s just that simple jolt of pattern and color that can freshen up your Fall look.

Tweed
Tweed is a trend that will never leave us. Men can wear it as a blazer, separate pants, together or wear with a plaid shirt or herringbones—it goes with just about everything. Women will be swooning over our tweed wide legged cuff pants—paired with our range of harvest colored cable sweaters to add that pop of color to your Fall wardrobe.

Lori Goldstein created the looks for this campaign — outfitting models in versatile, utilitarian classics that illustrate a life well lived. The campaign features models: Hilary Rhoda, Andrew Cooper, Karolin Wolter, David Abodjia and Arlenis Sosa and is shot against the cinematic landscape of Medlock Ames Winery in Healdsburg, California.
