HP Celebrates Marchesa Spring 2012 Collection during NYFW

Once again, HP has captured my full attention when I saw the photo attachments on the email. They’ve managed to surpass the wow factor of one of their older projects which also was aimed at the fusion of fashion and technology — the HP Vivienne Tam Digital Clutch something that I had stumbled upon earlier that year prior attending that event.
This time, HP celebrated the Marchesa Spring 2012 Collection at the Dream Hotel last 13th of September, 2011 in New York City — during this year’s New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Wait till you see how this particular gadget looks rendered in “tech art” luxury. I almost fell off my chair when I saw it.

HP celebrated the fusion of fashion and technology with Marchesa during NYFW. At Marchesa’s Plaza Hotel show, HP captured the fashion house’s 2012 Spring collection with HP Live 3-D. The 3-D images were presented later that evening to special industry guests, including Emma Roberts, Camilla Belle and Rachel Zoe, at the Dream Downtown.

HP also collaborated on a piece of “tech art” with Marchesa and Swarovski that was exhibited at the evening event. While the art pieces are not available for purchase, they are partially based on a high-end laptop that HP will introduce in the future. HP and Marchesa will also create a limited number of models next year that will be auctioned off for charity.

Picking my jaw up off the floor, all I can think about is that using words like bling, frosting, or spruced up to describe what they did to the laptop feels much too inadequate to capture its effect on me. Gorgeous!
I reckon that’s why they called them art pieces which, by mere appearances, definitely whets the appetites of all the tech-y fashionistas out there. I wonder how much the limited pieces that’ll come out next year sell during the auction. $$$$$. Er, I can’t bring myself to speculate.
