Known for being elaborate and seemingly exaggerated in his designs, Christian Lacroix surprised his captivated audience with an Atlantis-themed collection, filled with water-y colours and flowing fabrics, that’s very subdued and very wearable. It’s not just that. The collection exudes a certain sophistication that can be classic. I’m disregarding the “saucer-like” head pieces, though.

Manish Arora
Indian fashion designer Manish Arora, debuted yesterday’s Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2008.
Arora, 35, who staged one of the opening shows on the Paris prêt-a-porter calendar, dressed his models in kaleidoscopic embroideries, glittering beadwork and technicolour imagery reminiscent of this month’s Hindu festivals, the Durga Puja and the Ganesh Chaturvadi.
